Picking up the car

The person who booked the car must pick it up at the address stated in the booking confirmation. An additional driver added to the booking may not pick up the car without the primary renter being present.
HSDL Rentals ApS (or its representative) must confirm the identity and valid driver’s license of the renter and any additional driver (if applicable). Before the start of the rental, the vehicle registration certificate must be removed from the car.

Rental contract

The rental contract in the HSDL Rentals ApS app must be completed both at pick-up and at return of the car. The rental contract is used to verify the identity of the renter and any additional driver, and to document the car’s condition, existing damage, fuel level, and kilometers driven.

Information about the car

The app provides access to important information and instructions in case of incidents during the rental period. HSDL Rentals ApS may also provide “Good to know” information about the car, such as operating tips or specific vehicle instructions, which will be available to the renter in the app throughout the rental.

Renter eligibility

If, for any reason, the renter is not considered fit to drive, does not meet the age or driver’s license requirements, or is not the person collecting the car, HSDL Rentals ApS must not hand over the vehicle and should be contacted immediately for further instructions.

Smoking and animals

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the car during the rental period. Animals are only allowed if explicitly agreed in advance with HSDL Rentals ApS.

Cancellations

Cancellation fees may apply if a confirmed booking is cancelled by either HSDL Rentals ApS or the renter. The applicable fee depends on how close the cancellation is to the start of the rental period.
